Snowboarding 2011, part 1

We learned a few things about going late in the season to such a small ski resort.  They just don’t feel like doing anything anymore, like running the lifts or preparing the slopes mid-day, which made for conditions that were less than ideal.  However, it was a lot of fun and we did the best with what we had.

This is the lift closest to our house (which you can see in the background, yellow with green shutters!), but they had it closed.  That meant we had to take 2 lifts to get to the top of the mountain, instead of just taking the one right near our house.  Bummer!  That was such a great thing last year.

As you can see, though, there wasn’t much snow!

Here’s a sign for a restaurant on the path between our house and the gondola.

Not much snow!
