Yarn bombing in Köln

When we were in Köln the other weekend, we had brunch at this literary café with Catherine and a few of her other guests from her birthday party the night before. It was a nice but busy place and it had good food, although the service was a little bit lacking. It’s become a bit of an inside joke now–when Tobias asked the server what flavor the “homemade jam” was, the server replied, “RED.” Oh, okay. Awesome.

Outside of the restaurant, someone had yarn-bombed the street posts and used zip-ties to keep people from easily removing it. I always love seeing this kind of stuff! Köln seemed to have a lot more creative graffiti and street art than Hamburg.
